D'AUTOR MARKET JAMS
Our extra jams are produced from whole fruit, peeled or in pieces, depending on the type of fruit. The percentage of fruit used is very high, making up 75% of fruit.
We use unrefined cane sugar, squeezed lemon juice and apple pectin to achieve the desired consistency. Depending on the fruit and, to enrich and accentuate the flavor, we can add spices, aromatic herbs or even Port Wine.

Located in one of the Portuguese municipalities with the best environmental quality, Baião has the highest percentage of green and forested areas in the district of Porto. It is here that, in addition to the magnificent views over the Douro River, we can find numerous natural resources of rare beauty and a vast area of fertile land covered by vineyards and agricultural fields of unparalleled quality.

About Us
We are a large family, with a tradition in the textile industry, but also with a solid connection to the land and what it gives us. We fell in love with the Douro, and with the Baião region in particular. This has been one of our haunts for many years.
Greener and more sustainable is our main concern.
At the end of 2017, we started planting the first Blueberry orchards, 15 hectares, and 8 hectares of Chestnut trees. In 2018, the Kiwis, and in 2020 the hazel trees, while we wait for the first fruits to be harvested.
We want to continue innovating in plantations and tools that value not only the region but sustainable, balanced and natural agriculture. We created the D'Autor Market to bring the best that the land has to offer from Baião to the world, with the guarantee that everything was grown and harvested with love, care and respect for Nature.
As Miguel Torga said, Douro "(...) It is not a panorama that the eyes contemplate: it is an excess of nature (...). A geological poem. The absolute beauty" and we couldn't agree more.
Curiosity about Quinta Diagares
It was a place where pilgrims who passed through one of the roads to Santiago took refuge. The ruins of the Casa dos Fidalgos de Diagares and the Houses and Chapel of Santo António, a high point of interest in the region, are in the process of being restored following the construction traditions of the time.
Currently it concentrates a large amount of blueberry orchards and it is, in a natural way, an agricultural land that does not use pesticides, synthetic chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms, these products are replaced by methods that include products from plants or animals. Respect for the land and the plants are the watchwords on the 15 hectares of plantation, the sustainability of the environment and the quality of the fruit are the helm of production.
